The Gen 4 core, explained
FRIDAY really did the impossible. Foam paddles have been notoriously "stiff", or "without feel", but the AURA feels buttery, easy to use, and gives a tonne of feedback. And it's one of (if not the) cheapest Gen 4 paddles in the market... inside theres an optimised qual-foam core, wrapped in ElasTECH. That layer moves weight to the edges, making the sweet spot huge and giving the AURA its control and forgiveness, uncharacteristic of traditional foam paddles. Every shot feels soft and predictable, with a clean response off the face and enough pop to stay competitive.

The Aura

Friday Aura is a full foam, Gen 4 control pickleball paddle with a feel unlike anything else on court. Soft, buttery and forgiving, built for touch, resets and long dwell time at the kitchen. It rewards placement over power, and still has plenty in the tank when you see a put-away. From the first few hits you'll notice how controlled, stable and predictable it feels.
It's a completely different build to a traditional gen 3 paddle. An optimised quad-foam core with ElasTECH perimeter weighting, double thermoformed with a raw T700 carbon face for elite spin and dwell. The foam absorbs vibration, smooths out contact and makes the paddle far more forgiving, even off-centre. Resets feel controlled, drops are clean and your kitchen game slows down and becomes effortless. Project Aura has gone crazy around the globe, with Friday selling out three times as soon as stock landed in the States. The Aura and Aura Pro share the same foundation, but they play very differently: the Aura is the all-court option, soft and forgiving. The Pro is the high power option. Available in three shapes and four colourways, with the signature Solaris exclusive to the AURA.

ElasTECH perimeter weighting
ElasTECH is a first of its kind internal perimeter weighting system unique to Friday paddles. It's what gives the Gen 4 Project Aura paddles and the Gen 3 Fever 102 such a unique, buttery feel. The ElasTECH layer sits between the perimeter foam and the core, and it does three things at once: a larger sweet spot, more stability when you get caught off-centre, and more power. All without sacrificing feel and dwell.
The Friday Aura comes standard with a 6 month warranty. It covers manufacturer defects that are easily visible from a picture or video, things like handle breaks, loose or cracked edge guards and face cracks. Normal wear and tear from play isn't covered, and neither is graphics fading, rattling (it doesn't affect performance) or damage from abuse and ground hits. Claims are easy, just send us a photo or short video and we'll sort out a replacement. Handled by us here in Melbourne.
